Renovating your heart through praying in the Spirit

“But you, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost” (Jude 1:20 KJV)

The Word ‘building’ means to renovate, to restore, to refurbish or to redecorate.

The Bible calls your body the temple of God  (1 Corinthians 3:16). Another word for temple is a house or building. As a house requires renovation from time to time, so does your body (the temple of God). When you pray in the Spirit, you renovate your temple which can often be left desecrated and defiled by sin. When we are consistent in praying in the Spirit, you allow the Holy Spirit to refurbish your entire being, body soul and spirit.

Human is a tripartite being, meaning you are a spirit being, who lives in a body and posses a soul. While your spirit (your intuition where you connect with God in fellowship, communion and worship) reside deeply in you knitted together with the Holy Spirit, your body (your outer shell) and soul (your mind, will and emotion) are not. Hence, its often invaded by demonic spirits.

God says, “building (renovating) up your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost” (Jude 1:20).

When you pray in the Holy Spirit (speaking in tongues your heavenly language), you renovate your spirit, soul and body resulting in fear being replaced with faith, anxiety being replaced with serenity, courage and boldness and the spirit being open to receive direction from God.

No wonder Apostle Paul wrote, “I Thank God that I speak in tongues more than all of you” Hence, he was able to do more for the kingdom of God and was always a threat to the kingdom of darkness during his earthly ministry on earth”(1 Corinthians 14:28). The bible says “anyone who speaks in an unknown tongue (praying in the Spirit) does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands him, however in the spirit he speaks in mysteries” (1Corinthians 14:2).

The word mysteries means something that is difficult or impossible to understand or explain. Hence, when you pray in the Spirit, the kingdom of darkness that surrounds you are thrown into confusion and disarray causing a breakthrough and victory for you. Hallelujah to the lamb of God! Pray without ceasing. Pray in your  Heavenly language. Pray in the Holy Ghost.
