Life is transitory, you are a pilgrimage, earth is not your permanent place. The President of UAE , Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed dies on the 13th of May, 2022. He was worth over $18 billion and controlled over $10 Trillion in oil reserves. But, was laid to rest wrapped in only two pieces of white cloth. If death doesn’t humble you, what will?
God said, “For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out” (1 Timothy 6:7).
The greatest treasure you possess is not the houses you own, the cars you have, the businesses you own or the title you have. Your greatest treasure is the Holy Spirit inside of you which is a guaranteed deposit that you belong to the Kingdom of heaven.
Jesus said, “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” (Mark 8:36).
Jesus said, “after a little while the world will no longer see Me, but you will see me and because I live, you will live also” (John 14:19). Life on earth is temporary but heaven is eternal. Let your focus be on the things above and not on earthly things.
The Bible says:
”All flesh is grass and all its beauty is like the flower of the field. The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of the Lord endures forever” (1 Peter 1: 24-25).
I pray that during this end-time season, you will walk closely with the Lord in Holiness, righteousness and in reverential fear of the Lord.
Always remember, “Christ in you, the hope of glory” (Colossians 1:27). Guard your heart and mind from contamination.
Fix your eyes on the Word of God. Distance yourself from anyone or anything that takes your focus away from the Lord. Let heaven, your permanent home be always on your mind and heart in Jesus mighty name, Amen.
