GOD’S TRUE INTENTIONS FOR YOU

There is a common belief among many that hold God responsible for the widespread evil that is prevalent in our world today.

Some people believe God’s primary purpose is to administer punishment for the sins and inadequacies of humanity. What, then, are the true intentions of God towards humanity? And what are God’s genuine intentions for you and your family members?

The Bible says,

“Then God blessed them and said, Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth and govern it. Reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the animals that scurry along the ground” (Genesis 1:18).

God’s fundamental intention is to bestow blessings upon mankind. Despite the changes in human behavior, the Bible asserts that God Himself remains constant and unchanging (Malachi 3:6). His desire to bestow blessings upon mankind, whom He created in His own image, remains unwavering. This is attributed to the unchanging nature of God, who is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8).

After the flood in the days of Noah, God spoke these words to Noah, “Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the earth” (Genesis 9:1).

These are the same words God spoke to Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden because God’s intention to bless you and not to curse you remains the same.

God spoke these words to Abraham in Genesis 12:1, “I will make you into a great nation. I will bless you and make you famous, and you will be a blessing to others”

The Bible says that “If you belong to Christ, then you are a seed of Abraham” (Galatian 3:29).

This means that all followers of Christ are entitled to receive the blessing that God pronounced upon Abraham. But of course, this can only happen if you accept and believe that God’s Word is above what the devil whispers in your ear or what anyone says to you.

Jesus said, “the devil comes to kill, steal and destroy but I have come that they will have life and life in abundance” (John 10:10). The word ‘abundance’ means to increase or to multiply. That is the same word God used when He blessed Adam, Noah and Abraham. He told them to be fruitful and increase.

God’s true intention is to bless you. Let’s read what God says in Jeremiah 29:11,

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”.

If there is someone in whom you can place your trust to ensure your safety, it is God, your Heavenly Father. He has crafted you in His own likeness, and therefore, harming you would be similar to harming His own reflection. Instead, His intention is to bestow blessings upon you as you remain loyal in your relationship with Him.

The favor of God eludes us when we stray from His path, violate His commandments, and resist repentance for our transgressions, thereby allowing Satan to infiltrate our lives and wreak havoc upon us.

The book of Job is the oldest book in the Bible, and it documents an interesting scripture about God being the author of all the blessings in our lives while Satan does the opposite.

The Bible says in Job 1:9-10,

“Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought? Hast not thou made a hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land”.

God is the one responsible for all the blessings that Job experienced. Now, let’s read at what the Bible says in Job 2:7,

“So went Satan forth from the presence of the Lord, and smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown”.

Satan was the antagonist held accountable for the misfortune experienced by Job. It is important to recognize that the challenges and suffering in one’s life are often instigated by Satan. When we forsake God, we inadvertently welcome the influence of Satan. By choosing to deny the light (represented by Jesus Christ), we are opting for the darkness associated with Satan and his malevolent entities.

It is my earnest prayer that, with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, that you you’ll choose the path of righteousness and shun all forms of wickedness, thereby reaping the abundant blessings bestowed by God.

May the Lord lead us in making wise decisions throughout our journey in this world. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Prayer

Pray asking God to expose and dismantle all of Satan’s schemes in your life and the lives of your family members. Proclaim that I am abundantly blessed and will never be abandoned, nor will my family ever be in need of sustenance, in the Mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
