Breakthrough | Freedom | Dominion.
One of the most significant blessings bestowed upon humanity by God is the gift of free will, allowing individuals to make choices between right and wrong. This unique privilege was initially granted to Adam and Eve, who are regarded as the progenitors of the human race according to Genesis 2:16-17, the Bible says:
And the LORD God commanded him, “You may eat freely from every tree of the garden, but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil; for in the day that you eat of it, you will surely die.” (Genesis 2:16-17).
By endowing Adam and Eve with the capacity to choose, God intended to demonstrate that He is a deity who respects the autonomy and freedom of His children, rather than imposing His will upon them. In contrast, Satan embodies a stark contrast to the principles of God.
Let’s consider an individual struggling with addiction, it is evident that the pervasive nature of their struggle often results in an inability to resist the overwhelming demands imposed by the addictive substance.
Those afflicted with substance abuse issues, whether related to alcohol or drugs, find themselves burdened by a significant spiritual bondage imposed by Satan that renders them powerless to resist the relentless grip of their addiction.
Consider those struggling with pornography,
Let’s consider those addicted to pornography, gambling, or any other form of addiction, many find their capacity for self-restraint diminished by malevolent forces. They may feel compelled to yield to the allure of their addiction. The insistent cravings of such addictions can overpower their volition, rendering them susceptible to becoming ensnared by their destructive hold which is Satan.
God on the other hand will give you a choice. Look at what the Bible says concerning God giving His people the opportunity to choose:
Deuteronomy 30:19, “I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you today that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing. So choose life, so that you and your descendants may live” (Deuteronomy 30:19).
Joshua 24:15, “If it is disagreeable in your sight to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves today whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served which were beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living; but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” (Joshua 24:15).
God consistently offers His followers the chance to make choices. It is incumbent upon us to determine if we will dedicate ourselves to serving Him or succumb to serving the devil.
It is our duty to choose whether we will engage with His teachings, as found in His Word (the Bible), in order to understand His principles of holiness and righteousness and apply them in our lives. Furthermore, we have the autonomy to decide if we aspire to attain entrance into heaven or descent into hell. This decision rests solely with us.
The term ‘enter‘ denotes gaining access through a doorway, with Jesus Christ serving as that gateway. according John 10:9, where Jesus says,
I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out and find pasture”.
God sets people free and gives them the choice to enter heaven. Satan on the other hand puts spiritual chains on people, imprisons them to keep them away from having a relationship with God and an opportunity to enter heaven.
That’s why the Bible says where the Spirit of the Lord dwells, there is freedom (2 Corinthians 3:17).
The Bible tells a story of a man whom Satan placed in spiritual chains and forced him to live in tombs in a cemetery (Mark 5:3). When he had an encounter with Jesus, this man was set free and released from bondage and reconnected back with his family.
Today, many have been ensnared in a spiritual confinement by Satan, shackled by a diverse array of addictions that deprive them of autonomy and the ability to be liberated.
In Luke 4:18, Jesus said,
“The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because He has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free”.
In these final days, only through the intervention of the Spirit of the Lord (the Holy Spirit), as opposed to human endeavor or religious practices, can people be emancipated from the grasp of Satan.
The adversary has unleashed his malevolent, oppressive entities upon the global populace. However, there remains a glimmer of hope.
God has declared by sayings
“The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former” (Haggai 2:9)
God is bestowing a heightened consecration upon those who are hungry for Him and is raising impactful individuals who will combat the forces of evil for the honor of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
I pray that you may serve as a conduit, a vessel, or an instrument selected by God to carry out the purpose of God on this earth.
May the Lord equip you for greater work, as stated by the Jesus Christ:
“Greater works shall you do because I go to the father” (John 14:12).
May you become a voice that shakes the foundation of the kingdom of darkness, to set the oppressed free and release those bound by Satan in Jesus mighty name. Amen.
