GOD WAITS FOR YOU TO PRAY FIRST

“Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven” Matthew 18:18. NIV.

The truth is that you have to bind the devil on earth first in prayer before heaven takes action on your behalf. You have to loose what Satan has tied up before God in heaven will take action on your behalf.

Prayer is a dialogue between you and your heavenly father. God loves you and He wants the best for you. Nevertheless, He will always “exalt His Word above His name” (Psalm 138:2). He wants you to ask first then, He will grant you your request. God said in Philippians 4:6, “let your request be made known unto God”.

It worth noting that the favor of God often comes without you praying first and that’s the beauty of God’s s grace. For example, when God chose the Virgin Mary to give birth to Jesus Christ, she didn’t have to pray. God simply gave her favor. The Bible says, “Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary you have found favor with God” (Luke 1:30).

In 2 Chronicles 7:14 God says,

“ If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and I will forgive their sins and heal the land”.

The scripture above proves that man must pray first, before God will act on man’s behalf.
God said, if my people pray, then I will hear from heaven and forgive their sins and heal the land.
God waits for you to pray first before He moves on your behalf.

In Acts 2:21, God said, “And everyone who call on the name of the Lord will be saved”.

We have to call on God first before He saves us. How do we call on God? We call on God in prayer.
God said in Jeremiah 33:3,

“Call on me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know”.

We must call on God first and He promises to answer us. In Acts 4:31, the Bible says,

“After they have prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly”.

The disciples had to pray first before there was a shaking. They had to pray first before the Holy Spirit moved and filled their hearts. Likewise, we must pray first before the Lord moves on our behalf.

Remember in Matthew 7:7, Jesus said “Ask and it shall be given to you”. In other words, you must pray before God will grant you the desires of your heart.

In Luke 9:29, the Bible says,

“As He was praying, the appearance of His face changed and His clothes became as bright as a flash of lightening”.

Jesus had to pray first before the appearance of His face was changed by the glory of God. Prayer
doesn’t change God, prayer changes the person who devotes their time to pray. We are changed from glory to glory when prayer becomes priority in our lives. Many are waiting for God to do something on their behalf, but God is in heaven waiting for you to reach out to Him in prayer.

Remember in Daniel chapter 10:1-20 , Daniel set himself apart and prayed before God unleashed Angel Gabriel to bring him the answer to his prayer.

The Lord is ready to answer your prayers today. He is your Heavenly Father and no good thing will He withhold from you if you walk upright with Him. I pray that the Lord supplies all of your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. May the Lord answer your prayer request today and direct your path according to His divine purpose for your life.
