Transfigured through prayer.

And as He prayed, the fashion of His countenance was altered, and His raiment was white and glistering” (Luke 9:29 KJV)

The fashion of the Lord’s countenance was altered during prayer. It is in prayer that our countenance is altered and our spiritual garment glitters. The word ‘Altered’ means anything that has been changed or modified for the better.

When we enter into our secret place of prayer, it is there that we are changed just as our Lord was changed during prayer. Sins such as prayerlessness, carnality, lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes, and pride of life can stain our spiritual garment and attract demonic spirits in our lives.

It is during prayer, the intimate communication with our Heavenly Father, the one to one encounter with the Holy Spirit on our knees in prayer, which changes us for the better from glory to glory.

It is during that time that the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the sweet fellowship of the Holy Spirit strengthens us for the work of the Lord, enabling us to have a healthy relationship with others

Prayer transfigures us, it changes our inward man to reflect the glorious image of our Lord Jesus Christ. Remember when Moses separated himself unto God through fasting and prayer, the glorious power of God radiated upon his face so much that the Bible says the children of Israel could not look upon his face because it shined with the light of God (Exodus 34:35). Moses had to cover his face with a veil. He had paid the price, sacrificed his time and devoted himself to seek the face of God through prayer.

When we pray effectively and seek God diligently and seek Him with all of our hearts, he smears or rubs His glorious presence on us resulting in our inward transfiguration from glory to glory.

I pray, that the Lord will prompt you to spend more time in the secret place, where He will reveal to you the secrets and mysteries of His Kingdom concerning things to come, because the Bible says that “the secrets of the Lord is with them that fear him and He will show them His covenant” (Psalm 24:14).
