The Resurrected Blessing

Matthew 28:2-10
The Bible says:
Suddenly “there was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men.

The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples: ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee.

There you will see him.’ Now I have told you.” So the women hurried away from the tomb, afraid yet filled with joy, and ran to tell his disciples. Suddenly Jesus met them. “Greetings,” he said. They came to him, clasped his feet and worshipped him. Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see me.”

You know what’s interesting, since Christs resurrection, there are some who have attempted to refute, reject or deny the validity of the resurrection.

Some people say that the disciples stole the body of Jesus and build a falsified claim that he’s risen.

Some people say that his body was buried elsewhere. Therefore, the empty tomb was staged to fabricate the resurrection.
We cannot forget that in John chapter 11, Jesus resurrected Lazarus from the dead in the presence of numerous people.

We cannot forget that in Luke chapter 7:11-17, Jesus resurrected a widow’s son from death.
We cannot forget that in Matthew chapter 9, Jesus resurrected a dead daughter of a great ruler of that time back to life.

Overall, Jesus resurrected 3 people from the dead during his earthly Ministry. Jesus has power over death. All the four Gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John (Matthew 28:1–6; Mark 16:1–7; Luke 24:1–12; John 20:1–12) confirms the empty grave of Jesus.

The Bible says in Romans 9:6,
“For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him”.

On the day of His resurrection, Jesus appeared to 3 women, his mother Mary, Salome and Mary Magdalene.

These 3 women were carrying fragrance and spices to the empty tomb site to anoint the body of Jesus Christ. As they approached, they witnessed something unusual. There was a great commotion.

The guards who were guarding the tomb were stunt and in shock, they fled in terror to bare witness of the supernatural power of God.

An Angel has descended from heaven and rolled the stone away. The enormous stone that the Roman’s put in-front of the tomb to seal it, to keep people away from the body of Jesus. Mary Magdalene fled back to tell the disciples that the body of Jesus is nowhere to be found. The other women however approached the tomb, they saw an Angel sitting at the right side of the tomb, clothed in a long white garment.

The Angel said “don’t be afraid “you are looking for Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He is not here, He is risen” (Mark 16:6).

Today, I pray as I stand in faith with you believing that God will resurrect to life every good thing in your life that seems to have died.

Your relationships, your career, your businesses, your health, your ministry endeavours. I pray that God will revitalize them in Jesus Mighty name, Amen!
